The main strength in falling or going down to the rock bottom of a success is not just reminiscing and lurking at your failure or mistake but standing back to your feet looking better brighter and stronger.. Thats the case of the Ground Zero [World Trade Center] which is now standing back at its full feet and renowned Glory.
Over a decade after the tragic events of the 9/11terrorist attack, which claimed the lives of over 2,700 people, the “new” World Trade Centeris officially opening for business again. For years and years, this was the area resembling a hellish pit, in which workers found mostly body parts and debris from the twin towers which once stood there.
Given the name of “ground zero” for the gruesome aerial terror attack, it was the last thing more than 2,700 people saw, as they greeted their untimely death on September 11th, 2001. But as of yet, the 16-acre site is whole again. A 104-story, $3.9 billion skyscraper has risen from the ashes of Twin Towers 1 & 2. Representing the centerpiece for the whole area, One World Trade Center dominates Manhattan’s skyline.
The New York City skyline is whole again, as One World Trade Center takes its place in Lower Manhattan. It sets new standards of design, construction, prestige and sustainability; the opening of this iconic building is a major milestone in the transformation of Lower Manhattan into a thriving 24/7 neighborhood.” said Patrick Foye, executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey that owns both the building and the world Trade Center site.
Now that the construction fences are gone, the tallest building in the United States is considered by Conde Nast CEO Chuck Townsend as the “most secure office building in America”. Townsend’s company will start moving into it Monday in 2015. About 3,000 employees will join the 170 expected to move in then. The publishing moguls will take over five floors of One World Trade Center. For the moment, the skyscraper is 60 percent leased, with another 80,000 square feet going to the advertising firm Kids Creative, the stadium operator Legends Hospitality, the BMB Group investment adviser, and Servcorp, a provider of executive offices.
The 1,776-foot high luxuriant steel-and-glass giant reaching the farthest point in New York’s sky, took years of political, financial and legal battles, before its eight-year construction could even begin. But with two other towers towards the southeast end of the site, on the rise, the bickering and in fighting slowly died down. The two towers in question are the now completed 4 World Trade Center, whose anchor tenant is the Port Authority, and the 3 World Trade Center, which is slowly, but surely and magnificently so, rising.
As for the fully functional OneWorld Trade Center, it overlooks the National September 11 Memorial and Museum, which main’s purpose is to honor those thousands of innocent people who tragically lost their lives on that day. An observation deck will be opened to the public in the very near future.
