The explosion occurred along the Maiduguri road opposite NNPC filling station in Hotoro area of Kano killing unspecified number of people and injuring several others.
Residents say the explosion was so loud it shook many buildings in the area. As usual, a team of soldiers and policemen, as well as firefighters, were seen moving in to cordone off the area, according to SR.
